Not­ari­al deeds may be designed as execut­ory titles (enforce­able not­ari­al deeds).
Enforce­able not­ari­al deeds have the same effect as a court rul­ing, but without being the res­ult of costly lit­ig­a­tion. It is an effi­cient and effect­ive means to cre­ate a writ of execution.

Moreover, Aus­tri­an not­ari­al deeds are enforce­able in oth­er coun­tries, too. Inter­na­tion­al agree­ments provide for a sim­pli­fied pro­ced­ure for obtain­ing a con­firm­a­tion of a deed’s enforce­ab­il­ity. This enhances and facil­it­ates the enforce­ab­il­ity of enforce­able not­ari­al deeds at the inter­na­tion­al level.
